Meet Sharon
If you're seeking a space to feel seen, supported, and nourished, you're in the right place.
My Yoga Story
I’m Sharon, a yoga teacher and wellness guide based in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I hold a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and an additional 300 hours of specialized training in yoga psychology from The Center for Yoga Psychology.
My path to yoga began with anxiety. It arrived in my life the way it does for so many people. Quietly at first, then all at once. I tried the usual remedies, but what ultimately shifted something deep inside me was stepping onto a yoga mat.
What began as a search for calm became something much larger. I found that yoga was not just a physical practice, but a language for understanding the relationship between body, breath, and mind.
There is a version of you that exists beneath the noise. Beneath the anxious thoughts, the tension you carry in your shoulders, the mental list that never quite empties. Yoga helped me find my way back to that version of myself. And it is the reason I do this work.
My Yoga Philosophy
I believe that yoga is for every body, every age, every background, every season of life. I believe that the breath is the most underutilized tool available to us. I believe that stillness is not the absence of movement, but the presence of awareness.
I believe that when you feel genuinely seen and supported in your practice, something unlocks not just in the body, but in the way you move through your days.
My Yoga Training
Driven by the transformation I experienced firsthand, I committed to a 200-hour yoga teacher training program. That foundation led me to specialize in yoga psychology, completing an advanced 300-hour program designed to explore the profound intersection of yoga, nervous system regulation, and mental and emotional well-being.
This training gave me tools that went far beyond postures. I learned how to work with breath to calm a dysregulated nervous system. How to sequence a practice that meets a student in their real body, not in an idealized version of it. How to hold space for the full spectrum of human experience on and off the mat.
Always Learning, Always Growing
My commitment to education is ongoing because I care deeply about the quality of what I offer. Yoga, neuroscience, and mindfulness research are living, evolving fields, and I believe the best teachers remain students first. Every new insight I gather becomes part of what I bring to you.
An Invitation
Whether you are brand new to yoga, returning after years away, or seeking something more personalized than a group class can offer, I am here. This is a space where you belong exactly as you are.
From my heart to yours,
Sharon
